Absentee Assemblywoman Back On Track
3 days…4 abstentions!

Absentee Assemblywoman Joan Buchanan, one of the leading members of the “No Fat Left To Cut” Caucus, did an extraordinary job of abstaining last week.  If the old adage that the “government that governs the best is the one that governs the least” is true, then 15th District voters have an extraordinary representative in Joan Buchanan.

In fact, she’s already abstained a remarkable 330 times since being elected!

It is little wonder that the Sacramento Bee admonished Buchanan for her “disturbing pattern of abdication of her duty as a legislator.”

California voters deserve a representative that will do the job.  That means making tough decisions to get our budget balanced and our economy moving again and creating jobs for Californians.  As San Ramon Mayor, Abram Wilson balanced the budget every year and funded an unprecedented budget reserve equal to 50% of the city’s budget.  He worked with the business community to create jobs and make San Ramon a competitive business environment.

That’s the kind of leadership we need in Sacramento.
