Who Votes for You?
Absentee Assemblywoman Joan Buchanan, misrepresenting the 15th Assembly District since 2009, has racked up an embarrassing number of missed votes – primarily abstentions. The trend has gotten so bad that the Sacramento Bee recently editorialized that her performance indicates “a disturbing pattern of abdication of her duty as a legislator.”
The voters of the 15th District made the effort to vote for “Where’s Joan?” Buchanan – shouldn’t she return the favor and vote for them in Sacramento?
This site is dedicated to helping our Absentee Assemblywoman keep track of all the votes she’s missed and if we’re lucky, she might even respond to the exposure and actually cast the votes she was elected to cast.
Just as Buchanan thinks voting is optional, the voters of the 15th District will have an option on their representative in Sacramento. The option is a good one: San Ramon Mayor Abram Wilson. Mayor Wilson has been a popular and effective leader in San Ramon and knows what it takes to make change – for starters, showing up.
In 2010, return the favor to Joan Buchanan – abstain from voting for her and vote for someone who will show up for the 15th District: Abram Wilson
